You can now get chocolate orange flavour gin on Amazon and it sounds very fancy – Mirror OnlineChocolateSOS
While we mostly associate chocolate oranges with Christmas, it seems the famous chocolate flavour is now also making a name for itself in summer too, with the launch of chocolate orange gin.
But rather than being a Terry’s speciality, it turns out that chocolate orange gin is a lot more fancy than its £1 snack counterpart, combining the richness of chocolate with the refreshing qualities of oranges (plus gin’s iconic taste), for a sweet yet botanic taste like no other.
Better yet, with National Chocolate Day just around the corner on the 7th July, it’s also been cut in price.
Usually £29.95, Amazon are currently selling the That Boutique-y Gin Company Chocolate Orange gin for £21.95
As for the flavour, according to the brand, bitter orange peels and roast cacao nibs get all up in the mix during distillation, alongside some traditional gin botanicals, lending the spirit distinctive notes that’ll be familiar to lovers of the classic confectionery. Which sounds right up our street!
Whilst browsing Amazon we also spotted McQueen Spiced Chocolate Orange gin for £28.55, which sounds like the winter version of the chocolate tipple, as well as a Jaffa chocolate orange liqueur, for £17.46.
However with that Boutique-y Gin Company’s offering being a London Dry gin, unlike a liqueur which are usually high in sugar, their chocolate orange one contains none at all.
Meanwhile, That Boutique-y Gin Company is famed for its other, equally as exotic flavours, which also include Moonshot Gin that’s made solely with botanicals that have been sent to space ( £21.95, Master of Malt ), plus Strawberry and Balsamic Gin ( also £21.95, Master of Malt ).
